Largest FANUC Industrial Robot Added to the Machine Job Shop Already Integrated at Mittler Brothers

In a Mittler Brothers Machine & Tool newsletter from dated 4/15/2016 we announced that the largest FANUC Industrial Robot was added to our industrial machine job shop.  As we indicated, indeed, “Godzilla has invaded Mittler Brothers!” and Wright City, Missouri!

“Due to its gargantuan size, and the fact it hails from Japan, this model has affectionately been nicknamed "Godzilla" by the folks at FANUC.”  Mecha-Godzilla might be an apt nickname as well considered the astounding size of this piece of robotics, except for the “bad guy” part.

We indicated that “…we received a FANUC M-2000iA which is the largest, heaviest, and strongest robot that FANUC offers. It’s also one of the biggest 6-axis robots in the world! It has a capacity to lift around 2,700 lbs. without breaking a sweat.”

So, we can let you know that M-2000iA has been on-site for a while now, and we needed this piece of machinery “…because we are integrating it into the build of a special production machine for one of our industrial clients” and it is “…integrat[ed]…into a railroad axle press that we’ve designed for a client.”

You can take a look at our progress on this heavy Rail Industry industrial automation project and learn a bit more about how we are using the largest FANUC Industrial Robot added to our job shop in our Robotics Integration projects section.
